Air source heat pumps are a renewable heating source which turns fresh air into heat!  If you’ve ever put your hand near the back of a refrigerator, you’ll know how warm it can get.  This is the heat being expelled from the refrigerator behind the appliance.  An air source heat pump will do this but in reverse for your home!  The air source heat pump uses electricity to run the pump, so it makes sense to couple the air source heat pump with Solar PV. 

Solar PV generates electricity from sunlight.  This energy is used instead of taking electricity from the grid.  If any energy is surplus, it will be exported to the grid and your energy company pay you for it!  This is usually at a lower rate per kw, so it is always better to use what is produced so that you are not paying a higher rate for purchasing energy from your supplier

We will check your property to establish if we can fit a renewable heating system.  If your property is suitable (almost all properties are!) and the funding applies to you we will always try to fully fund the work, but depending on funding levels, there may be a contribution to put towards the work.  There is never any obligation to have the work carried out, but the work should pay for itself over it’s lifetime and more.  We provide details of the savings this can make for you too!  If a contribution is going to be difficult, we also have finance available through our finance provider, Kandoo
